But it may not have a perfect profile for every patient. And for other diseases there still is no or no adequate medication available. That’s why pharmaceutical research and development goes on at full speed. Behind each advance in therapy lies a lengthy and expensive research process, involving thousands of people in a complex multidisciplinary scientific enterprise and costs of at least 400 M USD.

Solvay Pharmaceuticals’ mission is to discover innovative therapeutics for carefully selected diseases, where there is a real medical need. Our primary research areas are psychiatry, cardiology, gastroenterology and hormone replacement therapies.
